Energy
Energy as the “fuel” for growth continues to play a vital role, while it is important to analyze which forms and types of energy should be used in the future without putting in risk current levels of quality of lives of the developed counties, without also taking away the right of the underdeveloped and developing countries to look for more energy consumption for their own societies.
Our energy consulting team provides specialized services to address the needs of private and institutional customers across the energy industry: Oil and gas, Electricity, Renewable energy sources, Fuel Cells, CHP. In addition, our consulting services focused on policy development and implementation, market reform and regulation, investment evaluation and other.
Climate Change
When it comes to deal with climate change and environment, the challenge is no more whether we need to act but rather about how to act effectively and efficiently. Climate change has become a global issue which is related not only to governments but also to societies and individuals.
According to a newly report prepared by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO, 2019) “the physical signs of climate change, such as increasing land and ocean heat, accelerating sea level rise and melting ice, contributed to making 2019 the second warmest year on record”. It is seen that the participation of the society and all stakeholders is critical to meet climate change goals.
European Union
The EU has committed itself to a clean energy transition, which will contribute to fulfilling the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change and provide clean energy to all. In order to meet the agreed targets for 2030, EU need to:
- reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by at least 40%.
- increase the share of using Renewable Energy Sources (RES) to at least 32% of EU energy use.
- increase energy efficiency by at least 32.5%.
- guarantee at least 15% electricity inter-connection levels between neighboring Member States.
To ensure that the EU targets are met, EU legislation requires that each Member State drafts a 10-year National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), setting out how to reach its national targets, including the binding national target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that are not covered by the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).
